We love the outdoors lifestyle. We enjoy making things from wood, we love woodland, we both have log burners, firepits & therefore burn wood.
The idea for KUUB’s first product was born from wanting to keep our log stacks neat & tidy in our own houses. Its goal was to do away with the unsightly buckets & baskets, the pile of newspaper or firelighters and various other fire lighting equipment that’s messy.
We wanted to stop constantly sweeping up bits & bobs of bark that covered the floor, or go in search of the matches that we “put somewhere safe”.
At KUUB, we don’t believe in compromising function for form—or the other way around. Our log store was built to serve a practical purpose, but it also had to earn its place at the heart of your home. That meant designing something with intention: simple, beautifully made, and built to last. It’s not just storage—it’s a piece you’ll be proud to have in your living space. Crafted with care. Finished in bold, confident colours.
It’s also made to work outside, so wheel it out in the summer to sit next to your fire pit or outdoor oven. Meaning you get to enjoy it all year round.
Since then we’ve come up with a whole list of related home & garden products that will launch in the coming months. All share similar values.
A ‘Kuub’ is a unit of measurement for a solid cubic meter of wood. It is a Dutch term that is short for kubieke meter.
Our values
Authenticity
We are real people, we love making things, we love wood, we love design, we love the outdoors life. We grow our own food, we love plants and patios. We’re very house proud and have both built our own homes. We always want to do things to the best of our ability.
Quality & sustainability
Everything in our products is as high quality as we can make it. The main material used (Aluminium) has been chosen for its robustness and anti corrosive properties, making our products ideal for use outside in the UK climate.
We hate the modern throw away culture. We love the good old days of furniture and tools lasting a lifetime. We want our products to outlast us.
We stand by our products by offering a 2 year no quibble warranty.
Waste offcuts metal from our production will be turned into colour swatches and smaller products like plant name markers to minimise wastage, anything left that’s too small to make something will be recycled.
Practicality & purpose
Our products have a purpose. They solve problems. Take our log stores for example. They have the option for a drawer to keep smaller kindling wood in and also all your fire lighting paraphernalia like matches, paper and fire lighters. Not only does this just all look much nicer from a design perspective being tucked away, it also keeps things like fire lighters safely tucked away from hungry spaniels which we all know will eat anything they can!
Design
Visual design is extremely important to us, it’s been a vital part of what we’ve done for the last 25 years across several industries. I guess you could say ‘visual design’ is almost a way of life because it crosses over with so many things we do, things we like, things we buy, things we make, things we aspire to.
