GENERAL HELP & SUPPORT
Do I have to assemble anything?
Typically no you don’t, however on some products depending on the options you order you may have to assemble the legs or wheels as we tend not to fit them before shipping to save any damage to them. If that’s the case then we will give you all the necessary fixings and instructions to do so. We may also direct you to a video guide to help. We don’t supply tools for this as it’s so wasteful of material. You might need a 13mm spanner, or equally a pair of pliers might do to tighten up the nut & bolt.
Can I really use my product outside?
Yes you can. That’s one of the key features of our products. We make them from Aluminium & Stainless Steel so they are corrosion resistant & robust.
What are the safety / usage requirements?
Our products are made from non combustible materials but when stacked with wood they become a fire risk. It’s important to make sure your log store is at least 1.5m away from any heat source.
They are made to be used inside & outside but care must be taken not to damage the paint finish or this might effect it’s corrosion resistance. Any bare aluminium parts may surface corrode over time which can be sanded off or use a specific aluminium cleaner.
Our log store is made purely for storing logs & is not designed for other usage such as seating etc.
Take care when moving the log store over uneven ground. It’s wheels are designed to work on flat solid surfaces only.
How do I care for or clean my product?
Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. If the product is left in its packaging, it may develop patches of uneven discolouration on the paint finish.
We recommend cleaning annually by hosing dirt from the product with clean tap water, followed by cleaning with detergent. Do not use a pressure washer and/or scouring pad as this can damage the coating.
If you scratch or chip the coating it may start to cause corrosion. Because or products are aluminium this is as slower process than if it were steel. We will be developing a range of touch up paints soon that you will be able to order to help protect the unit if it is damaged.
Some components are bare aluminum which will over time start to dull and may occasionally get a white chalky type finish. This is easily fixed by cleaning with a specific aluminum cleaner (available online).
